Deepika padukone dropped from Bodygaurd

Deepika Padukone, who recently said she is keen to co-star with Salman Khan, has missed a chance to do so in Bodyguard.

Bodyguard is being produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri and, according to the Deccan Herald, Atul was prepared to sign up Deepika as female lead opposite Salman, since he felt she would fit the role.

Following a script narration, Deepika was keen to come on board, but scheduling conflicts proved a bummer.

Atul wanted Deepika to commit 30 days in a stretch, something Deepika realized she could not do.

“Deepika couldn’t allocate more than 20 days at a stretch. None of the parties could reach a compromise so Deepika had to say no.”

Deepika’s bad luck, might well become newcomer Sonakshi Sinha’s good luck, as Atul now plans to approach her for the role.
