Prachi desai was born on 12th september 1988 in surat, gujarat, india. Prachi's father was involved in theater. Her mother is ameeta desai.
Part of her school years were spent in surat and part of it at st joseph convent in panchgani. She studied at the sinhgad college of arts, science & commerce in pune.
She did a course in modeling and was seventeen years old when she got her first role in television.
Prachi desai first role on television was with balaji telefilms kasam ‘zee tv is like bani. He was part of the series until 2008. Vodafone yeh hai in khalwa was seen as a mentor for “masti ki paathshaala” team. She won the sabse favorite kaun award for best newcomer and best actress at the tv awards is kalaka.
